For our roundtable, we will have a lively conversation on the non-traditional methods of teaching statistics to medical, nursing, and health profession students. Using Bloom's taxonomy of learning to guide our discussion, we will share our views on a number of unconventional approaches to teaching statistics, and how these approaches can be framed to incorporate the 2024 JSM theme of informing policy and countering misinformation. We will also discuss strategies to best engage with these students whose primary interest is patient care. Handouts will be provided.
