Over the past two decades, statistical literacy has surged, fueled by the growth of big data, predictive analytics, data science, and user-friendly statistical software. With the rise of artificial intelligence and large databases for clinical research, there is an increasing demand for statisticians to support educational activities within academic medical centers. The diversity of attendees-from residents to seasoned researchers-poses a challenge when designing a curriculum, but it also offers opportunities to foster meaningful discussions. This roundtable session will address the challenges and opportunities of teaching statistics in health sciences education. The speaker will share strategies developed over two decades, while participants can share their experiences in an informal setting, with insights relevant to both academic medical centers and traditional university settings.
