The goal of instructor Nelva Lee, PhD, is to help workshop participants create cultures of personal responsibility when engaging with diverse workforces at their organizations. Creating a culture of personal responsibility may improve an organization's communication with employees and employee retention rates. The instructor will outline the RETAIN (retention, engagement, training, assessments, inclusion and diversity, and networking) process.

Course Outline

MiTio Inc. trains and employs interpreters and translators for healthcare and legal organizations. Nelva Lee assisted in the creation of the certified medical interpreter (CMI) exam as a subject matter expert and was the first chair of the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters (NBCMI).
